        Now there are 52 electronic information companies. The total asset is RMB 2.23 billion. And there are 13 thousand staff members. In 2002, the selling income is RMB 5.27 billion. The main products are: electrograph, printer, display, key parts of printer, light cable, correspondence cable, transducer and so on. Some companies like Beiyang, Hong’an, Sumsong, Hualing are developing very quickly and have become the backboned companies in the fields of electronic information in our city.

        Development Emphasis:
        Three kinds of products will be developed based on the backbone companies and superior products. Correspondence products like printing, electrograph and key parts, scanner and display should be developed as the carrier of Hi-tech new city. By using foreign capital, electronic element products like electric capacity and resistance will be developed. By importing advanced technology, electronic machinery products like light cable, joining device and nickel and hydrogen cell and so on will be developed. The information industrial park should be quickly constructed, actively developing computer software and microelectronics industry.

        Developing goal:
        By 2005, the selling income of electronic information industry will reach RMB 20 billion. By 2010, the selling income will reach RMB 50 billion.
